Henning Neufeld Bio
Henning Neufeld has an extensive international spirit experience, managing various teams of bartenders across four countries. Neufeld was mentored by Alessandro Romano in Japanese bartending. He has also received Human Resources Management training in Gastro in Zurich, Switzerland. Neufeld is a certified bartender and hotel specialist from the American Cocktail College Barschule in Rostock, Germany. Neufeld’s first management position came in 2008 at the Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois in Switzerland. By 2011, Neufeld and his team were awarded, “Hotel Bar of the year 2012”. Individually, he was awarded, “Newcomer of the year 2012” at the annual Bar Awards in Berlin. In 2012, Neufeld began working as the Head Mixologist at the renowned Atmosphere Bar within the 5-star Shangri-La China World Summit Wing in Beijing, China. During his time at Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, he won the Head Bartender of the Year Competition. He was presented the title, “Head Bartender of the Year 2013”. In 2014, Neufeld assisted in the grand opening of the Shangri-La at The Shard in London. There Neufeld conceptualized and curated the cocktail and beverage menu. Since 2016, Neufeld is the Bar Manager at Les Fleurs du Mal within the legendary Schumann’s Bar am Hofgarten in Munich, Germany. As the Bar Manager, Neufeld works to create a unique cocktail menu every month, embracing an atmosphere of innovation and creativity.
